Genesis Williams is a Film Director, Actor, Anti-Bullying Activist, Playwright and President & Founder of “Genesis No Bullying Zone“ a new Anti-Bullying organization founded in 2019. While in high school, Genesis received many awards and recognitions including Student of the month and Outstanding Citizenship Award. He also made his first acting debut in high school with a stage play produced by the Augusta Jr Players called The Parchment Hour. He has spent his spare time writing short films, books, stage plays and skits for his YouTube channel. Weekly, he keeps over 21 thousand, of his subscribers entertained with his many talents.
Over the weeks being quarantine during Covid -19, he grew an audience of over 600k followers on the popular app TikTok. He will be furthering his education and talents in Atlanta, GA by attending Georgia State University and studying Mass Communications. He has spent his time afterschool participating with many programs including The Augusta Waste Water Treatment for high school seniors, The James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils, Thankful Baptist Church Choir and The Augusta Jr Players. Genesis also worked two part time jobs with Wendy’s and the City of Augusta, GA. While in JAMP AKA The James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils, Genesis has learned to play the piano, drums, bass guitar and vocals.
As a student in JAMP, he received the amazing opportunity to visit Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, GA for the 2019 Atlanta Concours d’Elegance Car Show which took place on the 330 -acre campus. He also was privileged to have met actress Vanessa Williams, rapper T.I. and Mr. Tyler Perry. He was interviewed by the Atlanta Music Television Network to share his experience at the Tyler Perry Studios. Genesis is now recognized as a local celebrity in his hometown of Augusta, GA for meeting his hero, Mr. Tyler Perry. Genesis struggled growing up coming from a low income and single parent home.
Genesis now feels deeply the demand to help children that have and are going through bullying. Genesis started a new Anti-Bullying Nonprofit Organization in Augusta, GA called “Madea’s No bullying Zone”now it is known as “Genesis No Bullying Zone.” Genesis uses fictional characters to speak up about bullying and other topics in local schools in Georgia & South Carolina. The characters include Tyler Perry’s fictional character “Madea” and Genesis’s very own twist to the character, which he named “Teen Madea” and his own character “Grandaddy” Willie. Genesis selected the Madea character because he felt that Madea is a popular character that everyone can relate to. He believed that this was the best way to teach and be entertained at the same time. He has been interviewed by many media outlets in Georgia and South Carolina he has been interviewed by many media outlets including WRDW TV, WJBF TV, Dash Radio, The Atlanta Music Television and The Augusta Family Magazine article “Move for kindness.”
