No Bullying Zone
Founded in 2019, the GENESIS NO BULLYING ZONE is a non-profit organization committed to supporting children who have experienced bullying. Genesis Williams, a former elementary school student who suffered
severe bullying himself, established the organization to help others who are struggling. Shocking statistics reveal that 90% of students in grades 4-8 report having been bulied, while 30% or more have experienced bullying in grades 6-12, including cyberbullying. Tragica ly, 160,000 kids refuse to attend school each day for fear of being bullied. “It’s an epidemic,” says Genesis. “I am determined to raise awareness of bullying for those who may not feel confident enough to stand up for themselves.”
To engage children and impart valuable lessons, Genesis created “Teen Madea,” inspired by Tyler Perry’s
character Madea, using his acting and comedy ski ls. The program teaches children the importance of not
bulying others while also providing support for those who are being bu lied
